I Am A Champion

13 August 2013 (Tues):

Lionel has been given a whole list of project base homework, to be completed by September. There are altogether 7 core values of the school: Integrity, Nation Loving, Sincerity, Perseverance, Independence, Respect & Excellence & each student has to complete all given task.

Well, not neccessary all but as many as possible. Each task is marked by a number of stars & towards the end, the teacher will present a prize to the student with the most stars.

When i saw the list, I was dumbfounded. Some of the task were difficult & Lionel said that the teachers would have to see it with their own eyes before they even believe that the child did the given task.

Lionel marked out the tasks he wanna do but that adds up to only 12 stars, under the bronze category & he was not satisfied. He wanted a silver at the very least, so I told him to do all those marked with 3 stars, he will defintely get 21 stars - a silver award. He gave me a loud groan & shook his head. Haha...

Mission Completed:
Greet teachers & school staff - Respect.
Design a banner to decorate your class on National Day - Nation Loving
Make a thank you card for someone who has helped you - Sincerity
Make a craft/card to thank your parents/gradnparents for taking care of you - Sincerity
Pack & organise your bag - Independence

Hi Lionel & Rachel,

We tried to look for your email contact but it does not seem to be available on your blog. So we are contacting you via a comment.

On behalf of the National Library Board (NLB), we would like to invite you to pledge your blog to the Singapore Memory Project (SMP).

We find that your entries about your wonderful family would be a great addition to the Singapore Memory Project.

We think your blog would offer a different perspective. Whether your posts are an account of your daily life or an expression of your thoughts, our project hopes to find a home for these memories so that it can help build a ground-up understanding of Singapore.

If you believe memories are worth preserving, simply pledge your blog here: http://singaporememory.simulation.com.sg/Public/Pledge.

The SMP is a national initiative started in 2011 to collect, preserve and provide access to stories, moments and memories related to Singapore. For more information about this initiative, you may wish to contact Mr Patrick Cher at patrick_cher@nlb.gov.sg or read the FAQ.

Yours sincerely,
Krishna
