CNY 2nd day

20 Feb 2015 (Fri):

No pictures for today as it was just a usual routine of going to the temple to pray for blessings.

We left for Malacca the night before and stayed at the Kueh Family's place. All the kids had a whale of time, setting off fire crackers and whistlers. We ate, chat and relaxed, falling asleep only around 2am.

Some 7 hours later, we had breakfast and headed straight for the temple. Lunch and shopping next. Before you know it, it was time for us to head back to Singapore.

Our flight to Taiwan leaves at 0055hrs, therefore we need to be at the airport at 2255hrs. Not wanting to be stuck in a jam at the JB customs, I urged Hubby leave as early as possible.

Luck was on our side as the traffic was smooth and there was no jam at the customs. We did some last min packing, showered and went to the airport by bus. LOL... having an ample time from home to the airport.

Next post from Taipei, Taiwan. Stay tuned.

CNY 1st day

19 Feb 2015 (Thurs):

Good Morning to the year of the Mehhhhh Mehhhh....Goat! Here's wishing one and all a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

祝大家在喜羊羊的一年里,心想事成,美梦成真,身体建康, 万事都如意。

It was again a busy day for the 4 of us. In the morning, we went to 舅公 (Grand uncle)'s place, followed by my grandparents' place, then back home to pick up my in laws who were going to Xiamen for their holidays.

As it was, 7 of them went for their hols but it was the whole kampong who came and sent them off. 3 cars VS a whole lot of about 24 people.

Then 4 of us went over to my mum's place for another round of steamboat. We left for Malacca around 7pm.

Happy Lunar's New Year Eve

18 Feb 2015 (Wed):

At exactly 1300hrs, all of us at the office scrambled off, with a " heck to the emails " look. Hey, its the lunar new year's eve! For some, its a straight 4 days holiday, for others like me, i am having an even longer holiday, returning to work only on the 02 Mar.

As usual on the eve, we are always having steamboat for our reunion dinner and thereafter, 3 cheers to a prosperous and healthy new year.

I will leave you with this video.

28th SEA Games 2015 Opening Ceremony

20 Jan 2015 (Tues):

In the blink of an eye, 2015 is here to stay. I wouldnt say 2014 has been a good year for all but it was not too bad overall as well.

The new academic term started on 02 Jan 2015, Friday and this year, Lionel is in P4 and Rachel in P2.

This year marks the 50th anniversary for Singapore and there are many events down the year to commemorate SG50. One of this is the 28th SEA Games and YPS is honoured to be chosen by the SEA Games Committee to participate in the opening ceremony.

Since last year, there has been some student selection going on and Lionel was proud to annouce today that he has been selected to take part in the opening ceremony.

There will quite a number of practices at different venues, such as the school hall, Khatib Camp and even at the Singapore Sports Hub.

Wedding at W Hotel, Sentosa

06 Dec 2014 (Sat):

One of Hubby's rich clients' only son is getting married... and being in the import and export business, his list of guests included many of different nationalities and even foreign guests.

We were honoured to be invited and the wedding was held at none other than W Hotel, Sentosa.

Though the invitation card wrote smart casual as the dress code for the evening, we cannot looked too inappropriate also right? Stressed. I was reminded by Hubby to buy a dress suitable for this evening while we were in Ipoh last month.

Taking in the sights surrounding the hotel. Wow! Private housing and yatchs.

Any one knows what this is? Haha... i was having a laughing fit at my girl who seemed so enthusiatic when i asked her to take a picture with...... a dustbin!

The interior of the hotel. We walked away quietly during the dinner to look around the hotel.

The doors gifts and the interior of the wedding hall. And the guests were all dressed in elegant saris and tuxedos... Ya lah! Indian host lah! Haha..

And food was served buffet style....  North and South Indian food which proved too spicy for me and the kids. Luckily, there were other choices to choose from as it was all international food served. I settled mainly on fresh sashimi and sushi. The kids had sushi and pasta.

I did not realised that there was a serial number on the yatch Lionel was taking with as a background. Not sure if the number means anything but I have erased it off just in case... :P

Road Trip to Ipoh - Day 3

01 Dec 2014 (Mon):

The last day of our trip. We had tim sum for breakfast and the kids were in awe of the adorable designs - panda, ducklings, mice, butterflies, goldfish, etc..

We spent the morning and half of the afternoon, shopping around Ipoh Parade and got winter jackets at a very good deal for 4 of us. I bought a top and skirt just for the sake of a grand wedding, to be held at W Hotel, Sentosa. Hubs got his bermudas and socks and the kids got new swim suits.

We hit the NSH at 4-lish and reached Singapore just after 10pm. A warm shower and after unpacking the bags, we were off to bed.
