In order to commemorate Singapore and her golden jubilee - SG50, these commemorative notes were launched.
I joined the queue and thought I would be the 1st few to get my hands on these but I found out the queue was for taking a queue number only.
I checked the number on my ticket against the computer monitor and was in shocked. I was at least 100 numbers away.....
It cost S$100.00 in exchange for these notes - 1 $50 and 5 $10 notes. One album would be given with every 2 sets purchased and each citizen can only purchase max 5 sets per queue.
Every note has its unique serial number and my sil requested for mine to hand pick the best serial number for her album. *Rolled eyes*
I am fine with whatever serial number. They are all a keepsake, a treasure for Singapore, always!
