Wushu Grading

07 July 2013 (Sun):

The kids had their Wushu Grading this afternoon. A few lessons were cancelled due to haze & the school holidays & 1 lesson missed as we were away in Genting, so most of the kids sort of forgot how to execute the moves. They made up by having an intensive training the Friday before today's grading.

Happpy to say, this 2 passed their grading & were promoted to the next level in Wushu.

Rachel before grading.

Lionel before grading.

I took a video, shown below of Rachel executing her moves. But she kinda forgotten her steps & was on the verge of crying. Opps..

Congrats to Rachel. Her next level: Green Belt.

Congrats to Lionel. His next level: Brown Belt. The syllabus for brown belt consists of all that he learned from white belt & new topics in brown belt itself. Oh dear! The grading's gonna be tough.

Ah ma with all her 4 grandchildren after the cert presentation.

Happy 37th Birthday To Me

03 July 2013 (Wed):

37 years on earth... how many 37 more to go...hahaha.

We had a mini & quiet celebration. Daddy bought the cake from Swensons.

Sunway Lagoon, KL - 29 June 2013 (Sat)

29 June 2013 (Sat):

Good morning from Sunway. Again, no photos as we were all in the pool.

But hey, I wanna introduce 2 new attractions in Sunway. Perhaps, you may already knew about it but we fell in love with these 2 attractions.

Vuvuzela. I snapped the picture from Sunway Lagoon website. I played only once. Do not like games going round & round in circles
5D Waterplexx. Picture from Sunway Lagoon website. I love this 5D motion ride. You will definitely get wet from all directions, from the front, the side, the top, everywhere. Even if you went in dry, you will be dripping wet when u come out.

Genting Day 3 ~ 28 June 2013 (Fri)

28 June 2013 (Fri):

This morning, all the kids were excited as they get to play a whole day, well almost in both the outdoor & indoor theme park. Today will be our last day before heading back to Singapore. I didnt take much photos of the day as the kids were constantly on the move, from one ride to another.

After lunch, Daddy surprised all of us by telling us we would be staying one more night here in Genting as he had promised water play for the kids. The Kueh family were due to return back to Malacca this afternoon as well but their kids were reluctant to do so. They had so much fun. Daddy suggested  to Daddy Kueh to allow his 3 older kids (age 12, 10 & 9) to stay with us in Genting for 1 more night. Daddy Kueh immediately booked 1 more room to accomodate 2 adults & 5 kids.

So at about 4pm, the Kueh family left & we proceeded to Rainforest Splashpark. A scream of disappointment came from every child. It was closed.

I came up with an idea. How about us checking out & proceed to the water theme park in Malacca instead. We could stay 1 night in Malacca & proceed to the park the next day. We could have all day to enjoy & in the evening after dinner, we can then send the kids back home, without having to rush. It was a naughty thought. Daddy & Mummy Kueh would be thinking about their kids up in Genting when in actual fact, all of us are in Malacca instead.

However, Daddy preferred Sunway Lagoon in KL. We hurriedly went back to our rooms, packed & checked out. We stayed nearby Sunway Lagoon for the night & it was a room with 2 double beds. So the boys took 1 bed & the gals took the other. Aircon temp was set at 16 degrees & we all snuggled in for the night.

We thought about 'The Lost World' in Ipoh... but fainted at the thought of the long journey back home :P

Genting Day 2 ~ 27 June 2013 (Thurs)

27 June 2013 (Thurs):

Good morning. After an expensive breakfast @ Mac (again) of RM50 bucks?!?!, we made our way downhill, to Gohtong Jaya, Genting's little town for some exploring.

This is Mini Cameron, where we visited the vegetable plantation, mushroom farm & the cultural village.

Tomatoes, chillis, cherry tomatoes..

Eggplant, more chilli, more tomatoes...

Caught in the act... after the photo taking, Lionel actually managed to pluck the passion fruit off its stem... opps!
Pumpkins... left behind by Cinderella's fairy godmother. Haha..

Not sure what kind of beans this were but the kids were fascinated by it... Some of them were as long (tall)  as the children themselves.

Flowers and who were more interested in them.. my little princess of cos.

Mini Cameron's cutural village. Seems run down; no one around to manage the place?

Hey, same as what we did back home. Mushrooms!!!

We had lunch at Gohtong Jaya, a whole row of restaurants & shops selling local delicacies.

Then we went into the strawberry farm.

The lavender farm inside the strawberry farm.

You need to pay to go in. But from the outside, the whole garden is within your sight.. Haiz...

You know Puss in Boots? How about Ferns in Boots? Haha..
Lionel's "camouflage" .

We wanted to visit this Bee Farm but look at the price...its ATROCIOUS!!!

At this time which was about 3pm in the afternoon, the kids were showing signs of sleepiness, so Daddy suggested heading back to the hotel for a short rest. We went uphill again. ( I hate hills)

About 6pm, we went down to visit Ripley's Believe It Or Not. Our Malaysia friends, the Kueh family just called to inform they have only left Malacca & would only reached Genting after 9pm.

Put on your thinking cap. No cheating. Mother's Brother is? Then the Brother in Law is? Scroll down to see the answer.

You got it?

Another one... I took a little while to digest this question and was wondering why the answer is as below.

This is fun. Did u see the two animals?  First view you see should be a rabbit. Tilt your head slightly to the right & you see a duck.

I found the second car. Hint: side view.

Ripley's Tallest Man. So it took both Daddy & son standing vertically to be as tall as this man.

Lionel sat on a torture chair filled with spikes (not real spikes) & Rachel sat on a olden dental chair.

Mummy & princess looked weird here. Both kids trying to be a flag.

We visited the haunted house too. Our friends arrived & we proceeded to supper & more indoor arcade games.

Genting Day 1 ~ 26 June 2013 (Wed)

26 June 2013 (Wed):

Daddy came back at 3am in the early morning & told me to set the alarm clock for 6am as we wanted to be out of Singapore before 7am due to the restrictions of an OPC.

However, i was half asleep & did not set the alarm, waking up 7am instead. My punishment - paying for the e-day license. Haha... We had breakfast across the causeway with my uncle-in-law?? (my mil's brother), lunch at Malacca, which our Malaysian fren invited & into KL.

My sil left her Touch n Go card inside the car her family rented during their trip up Cameron Highlands & she asked me to collect on her behalf. We did not realised the charger inside the car was faulty & therefore our GPS could not be charged at all. Hence, we got lost around KL city, not knowing which is the exact way to go.

It was only after 5pm that we finally tracked down the car rental company, got the card ( after some miscommunications) & hit the Karak Highway towards Genting. We reached the peak at 7pm ( after going round in circles inside KL city again, got lost, missed a U-turn, missed another turning...cursing & swearing ) ** wink**

We had a late supper before hitting the pillows ( dinner was settled via MacDonalds along the drive up). We will be exploring Gohtong Jaya, Mini Cameron & the Strawberry Farm the next day but before that, a good night sleep first.
