Prize Giving Day 2013 @ YPS

15 November 2013 (Fri):

Today was really a hectic day. Lionel had his prize giving ceremony this morning, followed by Rachel's CSTD ballet exam & then her P1 orientation in the afternoon.

We sent Lionel to school, had breakfast & Daddy went back to school as all parents need to be seated by 8.30am. I proceeded to tie Rachel's hair into a bun with gell & hairspray. I got my mil to send Rachel over to her ballet school at 10am as I wanted to rush over to Lionel's school. Rachel's exam begins at 11.30am but they need to be in school by 10am to get ready.

The principal, Mrs Chan was giving a speech as I arrived & luckily the event had just begun. There was a few performances put up by the students & the prize giving ceremony started.

Mrs Chan would be retiring this year end & a new principal would be taking over. She is currently the vice principal of Princess Elizabeth Primary School.

3 Little Pigs went out to play...

03 November 2013 (Sun):

....and only 2 returned. One got flushed down the wash basin. In case you were wondering, I was referring to Rachel's teeth.

Attached below are pictures of the primary & permanent teeth for easy ref:

The 1st tooth (left lacteral incisor - pink coloured) wriggled out on the 20 Oct 2013 but got washed down the wash basin. 2nd one (left central incisor - blue coloured) wriggled its way out on 26 Oct 2013 due to the new permanent teeth erupting, forcing the primary teeth to loosen. And today, the 3rd one, omg, the right central incisor - red coloured, wriggled out during Rachel's ballet lesson.

So now, she has 2 gaps between the new central incisor - green coloured. 3 teeth wriggled out within a few days apart.

Looking at the chart above, her tooth development seems to be right on track except for the lateral incisor which appears to be way too early to for it to wriggle out. Hmm, no more sweets for her.

Class of Primary One - 2014

03 November 2013 (Sun):

Rachel has been posted to Primary One Integrity for 2014 intake @ YPS. Orientation will be on the 15 November 2013 from 2-3pm.

I am wondering how does the school allocated the classes? Looking back, Lionel was registered under phase 2C supp back in year 2011, so does it means he was allocated to 1 Respect as the school classes goes by - Integrity, Nation Loving, Sincerity, Perseverance, Independence, Respect , Excellence.

Rachel was registered this year under phase 1, hence was allocated to 1 Intergrity??? Oh well, all classes are the same. So long she excels. :)

Class of 2 Respect - 2013

03 November 2013 (Sun):

Lionel got back his class photo for year 2013. Same FT as P1.

Guess where Lionel is: 2nd row - 3rd from left

On the fun side..

I am sharing his P1 class photo here as well.... some of their faces have changed over the year :)
Lionel is standing in the 1st row - 6th from the right.

Legoland Water Theme Park

15 Oct 2013 (Tues):

Selemat Hari Raya Haji :)

We received an email from Legoland sometime back, informing us of an exclusive preview of the soon-to-open water theme park, only for annual pass holders from 13 -15 Oct 2013. If you are a premium pass holder, admission is free. However, if you are a standard pass holder, you will need to pay RM$40 per day. Pass is required for verification at the gantry.

Daddy decided to pay a visit & the kids can hardly wait. Thyron was invited as well. His dad actually allowed him to come with us to Malaysia.

This is the side view of the Legoland Hotel. Kinda cute; looks like lego from afar.

Another view of the Legoland hotel, due to open next year, I think.

Legoland Water Park. As Thyron do not have an annual pass, Daddy very kindly made him one on the spot at the customer service centre

Not all facilities are in full swing, such as the Built A Raft & Lazy River

We stopped for lunch at Manhattan's Fish Market. I am really old for all these adreline excitment. I screamed right from the start, till the end on all those long, gigantic & winding slides. Lionel made me all the more nervous whenever he shouted: " Mummy, another big turn is coming.."

As Thyron have never stepped into Legoland before, we made a trip over. All 3 went wild at the rides again. Not me, oh no! I do not want history to repeat itself :P

At about 4pm plus, we went back to the water park again to get wet as it was a very hot day. The boys went off on the slides again. Rachel wanted to just splash in the wave pool. I went along with her.

We went for dinner at Skudai. Daddy told the kids we would be having our food cooked on hot stones & they were eager to see how it was done.

Sizzling hot! Delicious.

After a long day, 4 of us fell asleep on the way home, leaving Daddy at the wheels to do his job; sending us back safely. Hahaha!
